4A-G Engine Options...
 

When ordering an engine from us, we can manufacture a Plug'N'Play Wiring Loom so that the new engine will plug straight in and run with your car's original electrical system. In order for us to carry out this service, you will need to send your car's original wiring loom to us at your own cost. Then we can make sure that the wiring will simply Plug'N'Play with your new engine.
This service takes much of the hassle and confusion out of your engine conversion!

From now on, every Toyota 4A-G engine that we sell will come complete with our Reconditioning Service. We will renew the following parts of the engine as well as cleaning, inspecting and testing it prior to shipping from our base in Malaysia:

  • Complete Toyota overhaul gasket kit, comprising of head gasket and all other essential gaskets, oil rings and seals.
  • Piston Rings.
  • Timing belt and tension bearing.
  • All ancillary belts.
  • Water pump.
  • KING Engine bearings.

Most of the new parts listed above are genuine Toyota.

We will fit KING engine bearings in your 4A-G engine to give more performance, reliability and piece of mind when pushing your engine to the limit.
KING engine bearings have been proven to withstand the forces generated at over 10,000rpm and 30psi of boost pressure in high performance engines in Malaysia.
Genuine Toyota con rod bearings usually fail in 4A-GEs after 8,000rpm, even in naturally aspirated engines (for example 20v).

Toyota 4A-GZE Information

The early engines with AFM produce approx. 145HP.
The later engines with MAP produce approx. 170HP.
 
The Toyota 4A-GZE was sold in the Japanese MR2 Supercharged AW11 and also Corolla Levin and Trueno GTZ AE92 and AE101.
 
With some minor modifications (can use original engine mounts), the 4A-GZE engine can be transplanted into these cars:
Corolla: AE82, AE86, AE92, AE101, AE111
MR2: AW11
Corona: AT150, AT170, AT190

It is possible to transplant this engine into other Toyota cars, for example KE20 - 70, AE70, TE25 - TE71, RWD Celica's etc. However, further modifications would be needed, such as custom made engine mounts, custom water piping etc.
 
Toyota 4A-GZE Engine Availability:

We currently have all generations of the 4A-GZE engine available. From the early MR2 AW11 4A-GZE engine (approximately 145HP, AFM with distributor), through to the last generation (AE101) of 4A-GZE with MAP sensor, Distributorless Ignition (approximately 170HP) and LSD gear box.
 
All engines come as complete units with all ancillaries needed to run, including:
ECU, wiring loom, MAP sensor, Twin Coil pack, DLI igniter, top mount intercooler, starter, alternator, power steering pump, A/C compressor, exhaust manifold, gear box, drive shafts and other sensors.
 

The price for our 3rd generation RECONDITIONED 4A-GZE engine
(AE92 – MAP with DLI, non LSD gear box, 165HP@6400rpm and 21.0kgm@4400rpm) is:
£1750* 

The price for our 4th generation RECONDITIONED 4A-GZE engine
(AE101 – MAP with DLI, LSD gear box, 170HP@6400rpm and 21.0kgm@4400rpm) is:
£2000* 

Optional part: 175mm over size aluminum crank pulley upgrade kit – add £100 GBP

This type of 4A-GE engine produces approx. 160HP@7400rpm and 16.5kgm@5200rpm.
 
The Toyota 4A-GE 20v Silver Top was sold in the Japanese Corolla AE101 GT, Levin, Trueno and Marino.
 
With some minor modifications (can use original engine mounts), this 4A-GE engine can be transplanted into these cars:
Corolla: AE82, AE86, AE92, AE101, AE111
MR2: AW11
Corona: AT150, AT170, AT190

It is possible to transplant this engine into other Toyota cars, for example KE20 - 70, AE70, TE25 - TE71, RWD Celica's etc. However, further modifications would be needed, such as custom made engine mounts, custom water piping etc.

This type of 4A-GE engine produces approx. 165hp@7800rpm and 16.5kgm@5600rpm.

The Toyota 4A-GE 20v Black Top was sold in the Japanese Corolla AE111 BZ series. It features lighter internals than the 4A-GE 20v Silver Top and has a higher compression ratio as well as a redesigned cylinder head - this gives the engine around an extra 5hp.

With some minor modifications (can use original engine mounts), this 4A-GE engine can be transplanted into these cars: Corolla: AE82, AE86, AE92, AE101, AE111
MR2: AW11
Corona: AT150, AT170, AT190

It is possible to transplant this engine into other Toyota cars, for example KE20 - 70, AE70, TE25 - TE71, RWD Celica's etc. However, further modifications would be needed, such as custom made engine mounts, custom water piping etc.

We currently have stock of some great condition used 20v Black Top engines that have been freshly imported from Japan.

The engine package will come with all ancillaries needed to run including:
ECU, wiring loom, vacuum sensor, igniter & coil, starter, alternator, power steering pump, A/C compressor, exhaust manifold, gear box (5M/T) and other sensors.
